Today's challenge;
Substitute something that is draining your energy with something that boosts it.
Personal energy is the amount of effort you are capable of giving, within your mind and body, to things, people, or challenges. You are not an inexhaustible well of energy and you need to find ways to refuel.
Why is this important?
Are you feeling emotionally, mentally and even physically tired all the time? Understanding how personal energy works can help you to select wellness activities that can help to refuel you when you need it.
Do you know what drains your energy?
Stress or anxiety
Illness
Noise
Light
Overcommitted schedule
Caffeine
Alcohol
Stimulant medications (such as diet pills, cold and allergy remedies, asthma medications)
Depression or anger
Fear
Lack of sleep
Too much (or too little) exercise
Dehydration
Lack of food
Attitude
This concept is so important that there is a whole Cardalyst resource (coming soon) dedicated to this topic:

Drain / Gain
Games
These are a series of quick games using all the previously wellness and leadership concepts presented in Cardalyst and relating them to how they impact stress, This can be used as a standalone activity or to expand the usage of the other decks.
Fun and engaging icebreakers and games.
Until this resource is ready, here is a handy checklist for you to download as a reference. Most, but not all of the links are available in French and English.
It is also very important to understand personality traits and how they relate to how you invest and replenish your energy.
Introverts recharge by spending time alone. They lose energy from being around people for long periods of time, particularly in large crowds.
Extroverts find their energy is sapped when they spend too much time alone. They recharge by being social.
Deep Dive

This book presents strategies and time for reflection to quiet the mind so that your focus and energy can be directed more effectively to reduce anxiety, stress and can allow you to be more aware of what is currently going on around you.

Checkpoint: Something to consider today...
How are you feeling right now? Are you energized or feeling tired and drained? If the latter, what can you do about fixing that?
