Today's challenge;
Learn a good joke and tell it to someone.
What is it?
Humour is that quality which appeals to a sense of the ludicrous or absurdly incongruous. Something that causes laughter or amusement.
Why is it important?
Studies have shown that a sense of humour can improve your mental and physical health, boost your attractiveness, strengthen relationships and improve your leadership skills. Since it can improve many areas of wellness simultaneously, it is seen as an overall wellness booster. Use your sense of humour freely and frequently!
Here's a free "Dad Joke" that is safe to use anywhere;
“Two antennas met on a roof, fell in love, and got married.
The ceremony wasn’t much, but the reception was excellent.”
How to improve your sense of humour.
What you find funny is very personal but developing a sense of humour is a skill. You don't have to become a comedian to make yourself or others laugh. Just be yourself, don't take yourself too seriously, find the joy in life and share things that amuse you. Start by seeking out things that make you laugh. Chances are; other people will find them amusing as well.
Deep Dive

I don't think you can read a book, do a test and get your "comedy certificate". However, if you learn how comedy is constructed, it can certainly make you a better communicator. Who knows, maybe it might inspire you to practice and find a comedy niche that works for you. I expect free tickets to your first stand up!
