Today's challenge;
Take today day off and/or take this opportunity to review your successes this week.
This is a great opportunity to review the concepts that you explored this week and each challenge that you successfully completed. Anyone can research about self-improvement, but you put the work in to practice them. Congratulations!
To mark this second milestone, here is a little extra food for thought. This is a traditional Native American tale attributed to the Cherokee that I would like to share. There have been many versions of this over the years, but it is important to respect the source. Enjoy!
The Parable of the Two Wolves
One evening, an old Cherokee grandfather sat with his grandson by the fire. The boy had been troubled all day—angry at a friend who had betrayed him, frustrated with himself for losing his temper, and confused by the storm of emotions inside him.
Sensing the boy’s unrest, the grandfather spoke softly.
“A fight is going on inside me,” he said. “It is a terrible fight between two wolves.”
The boy looked up, curious.
“One wolf is evil—he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
“The other wolf is good—he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.”
The grandfather paused, letting the words settle in the quiet crackle of the fire.
“The same fight is going on inside you—and inside every person too.”
The boy thought for a moment, then asked, “Which wolf will win?”
The old man smiled gently and replied,“The one you feed.”
